Collections and Stories

Each series is lives under a special story and concept that connects to the season or the transition of seasons we are in. Each class will reveal a new layer from the fashion design and textile art process that ties into our story. Through play, each collection invites exploration to our inner world, our feelings and supports them as we channel them through our immersive wearable wild art.

Materials

While our workshop will house many materials that your child may have played with in the past, it will also reintroduce nature as an art source through the exploration of natural dyes, fire making for botanical color and printing, foraged inks, nature cording, as well as other slow processes. We will explore experiences using real tools. Those can include artisan blocks, basic sewing needles, mallets, leather work tools, draping-play on form and our favorite; a bit of fairy dust…

All materials are thoughtfully curated for the appropriate age group. Safety is our priority. Caregiver supervision is required.

Parent & Caregivers

The program offers so many opportunities for bonding with a parent or caregiver as younger ones learn new techniques and experience the classes. We co-create a space with the families so that little ones and young ones know they are supported as they explore creatively. We learn best “family style.”

Experiences

Our activities are created with the whole child in mind. We know each one will come to our space with their own unique abilities and we will celebrate them. Many of these experiences will introduce slow fashion processes, artisan techniques and their history, color science, and story telling . We thought really hard on how to make each one an accessible, mindful, and a playful experience.

One with Nature

We gather outdoors because it is the best place for all of our senses to be awakened and centered, and that is a great ingredient for creativity and for learning. This way, we foster our relationship with nature and back to ourselves in a magical way.
